Grilled Fish
Grilled Fish is a healthy way to include fish in your diet. Marinate the fish with some spices and grill it. Serve grilled fillets and a bowl of salad with rice for a complete delicious meal. It would also be the perfect fish patty for sandwiches.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds fish fillets
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed finely
- 1 Tbs soy sauce
- 1 Tbs white vinegar
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 3 TBS lemon juice
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp red peppers
- 1 tsp black peppers
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Method :
- Wash the fish fillets under running water, removing the remaining scales with a blunt knife.
- Soak the fish in plenty of water. Add a teaspoon of ground garlic to the soaked fish and keep it aside for about 2 hours. This will remove its smell.
- Take a shallow bowl and mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Place fish fillets in bowl and coat evenly with marinade on all sides. Refrigerate for about 6 hours.
- Preheat a grill to medium heat, grease the grill with olive oil and place the fillets on the grill. Brush griddle with marinade in bowl. Do not flip the fillets for 3.4 minutes or until opaque.
- Flip the griddle over and brush it with the marinade again and let it cook until it's completely opaque or cooked through. Similarly grill all the fillets.
- Place the fillets on a serving platter, toss an onion in a little oil until tender enough to serve with grilled fish or with baked mashed potatoes.
