Ingredients
1 (5 lb) rump roast
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper (start with 1 tsp)
1 tsp masala salt
1 tsp Ajwain
1/2 tsp rosemary
2 instant oxo or 2 bouillon cubes
2 (14 oz) cans beef broth
1 large onion, chopped
Method
1. Place all ingredients in crock pot.
2. Cook on high for 5-6 hours or on low for 8-10 hours.
3. Remove the meat from the pot and place it on a deep plate - to collect the juices.
4. Strain the broth well so that it is clear and no spices or onions remain.
5. Place in a saucepan and keep warm.
6. Most people prefer to keep the broth as is, but you can add a small amount of cornstarch to the mix.
Just a touch to tighten with cold water.
7. (Remember to add the juices from the meat).
8. Heat the hoagie buns to heat and cut the meat into thin slices.
9. Place finely chopped meat in each bun and serve os jus individually
