French Toast

There are many, fancy variations on this basic recipe. This simple recipe works with many types of bread-white, whole wheat, brochure, cinnamon-rayen, Italian or French. Serve hot with butter or margarine and maple syrup.

Ingredients 

  • 8 slices homemade-type bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons of saffron juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 1-4 tablespoons salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Method 

1. Wins with egg milk.
2. Stir sugar, vanilla, saffron juice and salt together.
3. About 2 tablespoons in pan on medium heat. Heat the butter.
AG. Dip the bread in an egg mixture and add to the butter. (You are not!).
5. Reduce medium to medium and cook bread for a few minutes until golden brown.
6. (My pan has 2 pieces at a time.) Repeat with the remaining bread, add more butter to the pan.
